OBER WATER

Ober Water is a stream which crosses the central New Forest before flowing into the Lymington River. Perhaps its most beautiful section is where it flows through the woods in an area called Aldridge Hilll, just south of Ober Heath.
The Lymington is well known for brown trout and grayling. Some of these fish travel up to Ober Water and are well worth pursuing.
The best flies for grayling will be a Black Spider and/or an Olive Perdigon. For the Ober’s trout, we would recommend either an Adams or an Elk Hair Caddis.
